All cards should be written as a question and answer, with very few exceptions, cards not in this format will be rejected. In-line cloze (i.e. fill in the blank questions) is to be used very sparingly and only under specific circumstances outlined below.

A significant issue with Anki is that cards can be written in such a way that correct answers can be “recalled” not based on a true understand, but based on the specific contours of layout or word-usage.
This can lead to a situation where a card can be easily recalled during review, but that same information is unretrievable on the wards, in clinic, or during an exam. This is largely avoided with thoughtfully written cards

Please consider viewing existing cards in the deck as another way to learn what sort of cards we approve!
As a final note, all cards should be written in a way that, if one already knew the content, they could be correctly answered on the first attempt.
