  1. šŸ“§Ā Contact Malleus CM team

    Email us at [email protected] for limited access to Notion to create a University-Specific Tag.

  2. šŸ“Ā Get Notion

    This website and database is built using Notion, an account is required to manage the optional tag page. Download and sign up for Notion here.

  3. ā­ļø Create an Optional Tag on AnkiHub

    Open "My Decks" page on AnkiHub.

    Click ā€œOptional tagsā€ and then ā€œ+ New tag groupā€

    Search Original deck field for Malleus

    Create a ā€œTag group nameā€ and Description (optional). Choose a short and appropriate name, e.g. Melbourne for The University of Melbourne.

  4. āœØĀ Begin building the page from the template

    Once you have received access from the Malleus team, a new page will be created from a template for you here. Notion is a powerful and correspondingly complex tool, if you are unfamiliar with its functioning, it is recommended that you take some time to understand how it works. fantastic set of Guides, and other tutorials are available on YouTube and elsewhere.

    Begin building the database on your universities academic structure. This can be changed, but it is best to begin with a strong plan.

    See Flinders University for an example of this.

  5. šŸ™‹Ā Add maintainers

    The job of a maintainer is to accept and reject suggestions to the optional tag. By creating the optional tag, you are automatically a maintainer.

    Maintainers can be added from optional tag page. Click here, select your tagā€™s page, and then ā€œManage Maintainersā€ on the top right. From here you can add other AnkiHub users

  6. ā˜€ļøĀ Find users and contributors

    The usefulness of the optional tags is directly proportional to number of users. Promote the tag however you see fit, and if you have not already, get in touch with your medical schoolā€™s student society and invite them to assist you.

    Instructions on how to join and contribute are contained within the template.

  7. šŸ’ŖĀ Maintain the deck!

    Find the maintainer dashboard from the optional tag page; click here, select your tagā€™s page.

    All users have access to this page, but only maintainers can accept and reject suggestions.
